The 32nd staging of the JC-Pure Water Meet was held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Richard Ashenheim Stadium, Jamaica College, and featured many of the best athletes in the secondary education system. Notably, the Hydel athlete and Calabar transferee Robert Miller established two meet records in the class 1 boys’ 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles, posting 13.76 and 51.10, respectively. Also, Alexxe Henry of Edwin Allen posted a meet record of 11.34 in the class 1 girls’ 100m.
Boys Class 1 Discus 1.75kg
Joseph Richard Salmon of Jamaica College won the class 1 boys’ discus, with a meet record and personal best of 66.32m, while Kamari Kennedy of Calabar was second, throwing a personal best of 56.00m, and Tyrone Henry of Papine High was third with a personal best of 52.87m. The top eight was rounded out by Delon Joel Smith of Calabar with a season’s best of 50.89m, Adrian Daley of St. Catherine High with a personal best of 49.41m, Deandre Henry of Calabar with a season’s best of 47.11m, Denzel Arkim Phillips of Jamaica College with a Season’s best of 46.77m and Khaleel Henry of Calabar with a season’s best of 44.22.
Class 2 Boys Discus 1.5kg
Nasir Ajani-Imo-Nyslo D’Aguilar of Jamaica College won the class 2 boys’ discus in a personal best of 48.58m, while Kidane Linton of Calabar was second, throwing a personal best of 45.03m and the Trinbagonian Jaafari Shaw of Jamaica college was third, throwing a personal best of 44.00m. The top eight was rounded out by Mark Earlington of Calabar with a personal best of 38.02m, Andrus Molloy of Calabar with a personal best of 36.72m, Nathan Omar Guy of Jamaica College with a personal best 34.18m, Kevron Grant of Papine High with a personal best of 32.82m and Demario Bramwell of Jamaica College with a personal best of 26.60.
Class 1 Boys’ Triple Jump
Michael-Andre Matthew Edwards won the class 1 boys’ triple jump final, cutting the sands in a meet record and season’s best of 15.58m (+0.7), while Antonio Anderson of Calabar was second with a personal best of 15.14 (+0.7) and Roshane Francis of Wolmers was third with a personal best of 14.94m (+1.3). The field was rounded out by Kishane Chin of Calabar with a personal best of 14.88m (+0.9), the Vincentian J’Aivar Edahj Sean Xaval Cato of Jamaica College with a season’s best of 14.85m (-0.2), Kabiki Thomas of Wolmer’s Boys with a personal best of 14.72m (0.0) and Rajae Williams of Titchfield with a personal best of 14.11m (+1.2).
Class 1 Girls’ Triple Jump
Zavien Bernard of Hydel High won the girls’ triple jump, cutting the sands in meet record of 12.33m (+0.9), while her teammate Sabrina Atkinson was second with a season’s best of 12.28m (+0.7) and Mikayla Longmore of Holmwood Technical High was third in a personal best of 12.23m (+1.8). The field was rounded out by Martina Moxam of Vere Technical High with season’s best of 12.01m (+1.3), Jannessa Allen of Holmwood Technical High with 11.39m (+2.5), Morissa Heslop of Camperdown with a wind-aided 10.88m (+2.1) and a personal best of 10.86m, Aeisha M. The class 1 boy’s long jump was also won by Jamaica College’s Michael-Andre Matthew Edwards, cutting the sands in a season’s best of 7.20m (+0.9), while Ajarie Bloomfield of Titchfield was second in a personal best of 7.05m (+0.1) and J’Aivar Edahj Sean Xaval Cato was third in a season’s best of 6.97m (+0.6). Mikayla Longmore of Holmwood Technical High won the class 1 girls’ long jump, cutting the sands in a personal best of 5.65m (+1.1), while Sabrina Atkinson of Hydel High was second in a personal best of 5.61m (+1.1) and Jenice Dunkley, also of Hydel High, was third in a personal best of 5.56m (+0.7). The top ten finishers was rounded out by Janielle Love of Wolmer’s Girls’ in a personal best of 5.61m (+0.7), Renecia Edwards of Edwin Allen in a season’s best of 5.29m (+1.4), Kishauna Francis of St. Catherine High in a personal best of 5.26m (+1.0) and Keianna N. Class 1 Boys’ Shot Put
Javontae Anthony Smith of Munro threw a distance of 17.37m, to win the class 1 boys’ shot put, while Lawayne Blackwood of Clarendon College was second with a personal best of 16.12m and Kamari Kennedy of Calabar High was third with a personal best of 16.02m. The Trinbagonian Jaidi James of Jamaica College won the class 1 boys’ high jump final, clearing a season’s best of 2.00m, while the Bahamian Ainsworth Ferguson of Munro was second in 2.00m and Selethel Johnson of Munro College was third in 1.95m. The field was rounded out by Richard Green of Calabar High in a personal best of 1.85m and Kajeem Warren of Jamaica College in a personal best of 1.80m.
Class 1 Girls’ High Jump
Sabrina Atkinson of Hydel cut the sands in a season’s best of 1.60m, to win the class 1 girls’ long jump, while Mikayla Longmore of Holmwood Technical was second in a similar season’s best of 1.60m and Annecia Strachan of Buff Bay and Akalea Brown of Buff Bay and Edwin Allen were joint-third in a season’s best of 1.55m.
